Foreign Relations Committee,
unanimously adopted a resolution
last week urging the Syrian
President to allow members of the
Jewish community to emigrate
from Syria to the United States.
Sen. Charles H. Percy (R-Ill.)
who co-sponsored the resolution,
spoke in support of it at a meeting
of the committee. The pressures
on the small Syrian Jewish com-
munity are tremendous," Percy
