be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, 8
a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday and at 8
a.m. Sept. 28 at the synagogue.
Rabbi A. Irving Schnipper will of-
ficiate, and Cantor Ben-Zion
Lanxner will chant the liturgy.
CONG. BETH SHALOM:
Erev Rosh Hashanah services will
be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday. On
Thursday, Shachrit services will
be at 8:15 a.m. Rabbi David Nel-
son will speak on "What Kind of
Jews Are We?" Minchah and
Maariv will begin at 6.
On Sept. 28, Shachrit will be at
8:15 a.m. and Rabbi Nelson will
speak on "What Kind of People
Are We?" Minchah and Maariv
will be at 6 p.m.
Junior Congregation services

Hashanah will be held at 7 p.m.

the Veterans Memorial Building.
On Thursday morning, Rabbi
Gamze will speak On "Can We
Still Accept the Concept of the
Election of Israel?" At Sept. 28
morning services, Rabbi Gamze
will speak on "Anti-Zionism, the
Sophisticated Way to Hate Jews."
Cantor Israel I. Idelsohn will
chant the liturgical portions of the
services.
TEMPLE EMANU-EL: Rabbi
Lane Steinger will officiate and
Cantor Norman Rose will chant
the liturgy at Rosh Hashanah
services 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday
and 10 a.m. Thursday. A Rosh
Hashanah children's service will
be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
TEMPLE KOL AMI: Rosh
Hashanah will be ushered in at
Temple Kol Ami at 8 p.m. Wed-
nesday. Thursday's services will
be held at 10 a.m. Children's serv-
ices will be at 3 p.m. Thursday.
Rabbi Ernst J. Conrad will of-
ficiate. The temple choir will sing
under the direction of Nathalie M.
Conrad. Dr. Irving Friedman will
be the cantorial soloist. Dr. Stan-
ley Kirschner will sound the
shofar.

High Holiday services Will be at
