Borim will be pre- > sented with the Jewish Welfare Federation's 1984 Young Leader- ship Awards at the JWF Board of Governors meeting on Sept. 25. Alter will receive the Frank A. Wetsman Memorial Award. This award honors a communal leader of outstanding promise and pro- vides for the honoree's attendance at the General Assembly of the Council of Jewish Federations. Alter is a board member of the JWF Culture and Education budgeting and planning division and is on the boards of the Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Community Council. He chaired the Attorneys Sec- tion of the Campaign's profes- sional service division, was chair- man of Hadracha and served as head of the Campaign for the Young Adult Division. He has held several key positions in the United Jewish Appeal's Young Leadership Cabinet and has been president of the Michigan regional advisory board of the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith. Mrs. Krugel will receive the Sylvia Simon Greenberg Award. Mrs. Krugel is an officer of Feder- ation's Women's Division, in which she has held various Cam- paign and education roles, and serves on the national agencies budgeting and planning division and the board of Resettlement Service. Boesky Memorial Award. This award is presented to active Young Adult Division members in recognition of their leadership efforts. Ms. Borim has been active in the YAD for several years and has served as its president and chair- man of its executive committee. She was vice chairman of the di- vision's Campaign telethon and co-chaired its school and youth committee. She also has served as division liaison to Federation's Commu- nity Services budgeting and planning division, the Sinai Hos- pital board of directors and the Holocaust sub-committee of the Jewish Community Council.
