LEONARD RANDALL At The Piano Bar Mon. thru Sat. 1967-3999 OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK a seafood lover's delight. Among the palate-pleasing ap- petizers are oysters Rockefeller baked with a blend of spinach, ba- con, cream, Parmesan cheese and Pernod, all topped with Hollan- daise sauce. "Another titilating starter is hot seafood medley with scallops, shrimp, lobster and soft-shell crab sauteed in white wine and garlic. "Among the more unusual entrees are shrimp and scallops sauteed with mushrooms, peapods, sherry and garlic, Oreo Dory — a fillet of New Zealand whitefish baked and served with redskin potatoes, broccoli and champagne butter and garnished with kiwi fruit and stuffed floun- der Florentine. The stuffing is spinach, shrimp and crabmeat topped with a light dill Beurre Blanc. "Other gourmet offerings are roast Long Island duckling with strawberry rhum cakes and pe- cans, filet mignon stuffed with fresh oysters and veal Oscar sauteed with brandy and served with Alaskan king crab leg, fresh broccoli and sauce Bernaise. "As we gazed out the window at the atrium, we couldn't help but remember the disastrous opening night of the Atrium Restaurant, predecessor of Jacques. "The chef, who could speak nothing but French, walked out in a huff over some wide communi- cation gap with the former owners and employees. Our waitress burned her hand during the melee and was disabled. We waited for hours until our veal finally ar- rived charred and cold. It was a night to remember. "But that was yesterday, and now Jacques offers you perfect evenings of wine, roses and superior cuisine."
