"Skip" of Canoga Park, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Patricia) Burlak; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. DOROTHY ZIEGLER, 76, died Sept. 1. She leaves a son, Leon; a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Phyllis) Lewkowicz; three brothers, Charles Madison of New York, Harry Madison and Arthur Rapaport of Vancouver, B.C.; six grandchildren and one great- granddaughter. SHELDON MONUMENT COMPANY 19800 WOODWARD AVE. Betw. 7 and 8 Mile Roads Attorney. Frank Schwartz dies at 91 Frank Schwartz, an attorney with offices in Detroit, died Sept. 4 at age 91. A native of Leavenworth, Kan., Mr. Schwartz worked as an inves- tigator for Frank P. Walsh, Samuel Gompers and Franklin D. Roosevelt prior to becoming an at- torney. He was a friend of former President Harry Truman. Mr. Schwartz came to Detroit in 1924. A few years later he ran for the office of mayor of Detroit and for the Recorder's Court in 1927. In 1944, he was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention Harry Kellman Harry J. Kellman, a pharma- cist, died Sept. 2 at age 67. A native Detroiter, Mr. Kellman was the former owner of Robin Hood Drugs in Detroit. He owned the business from 1948 to 1970. Since 1970 he worked for others. He was a member of Temple Is- rael, Tam O'Shanter Country Club, Mosaic Lodge of the Ma- sons, Zionist Organization of America Metro Detroit District and Michigan Pharmaceutical Association. He leaves his wife, Phyllis; a son, Dr. Sanford of Orinda, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Bar- bara Jo) Safran; a brother, Dr. Fred; and one grandson. and for three years he served as secretary of the Democratic County Chairman's Association of Michigan. He organized and was president for six terms of the Jolly Bachelors Club. He represented many civic organizations and. worked on behalf of many Jewish causes. Mr. Schwartz was the youngest city-wide chairman in the history of the Detroit area Zionist drive. He was a former vice president of the Downtown Synagogue and a former delegate to the Jewish Community Council. While in Kansas City, he was the attorney for the Hebrew Free Loan Asso- ciation. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP and held membership in Knights of Pythias, Elks, Shrin- ers, Moslem Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason. He leaves his wife, .Gwen; nieces and nephews.
