MSTY alumni plan Nov. reunion
When 300 former members of
Michigan State Temple youth
gather in Detroit during the
weekend of Nov. 24-26, alumni of
the classes of 1957-1967 will find
themselves in the company of
rabbis, authors, international
diplomats, television producers
and political analysts of the
Washington scene.
Conclave events will be held at
Temple Beth El and Temple Is-
rael. Speakers, all MSTY alumni,
include: Ze'ev Chafets, former di-
rector, State of Israel Government
Press Office; Aaron Rosenbaum,
political analyst; Rabbi Daniel B.
Syme, national director of educa-
tion, Union of American Hebrew
Congregations; Marc Pearl, direc-
tor, Washington Office, American
Jewish Congress; Dr. Richard
Sarason, professor, Hebrew
Union College - Jewish Institute
of Religion; Martha Schlesinger,
director of field operations,
Weizmann Institute of Technol-
ogy; and Charles Tobias, member
of national legal committee,
Anti-Defamation League.
The central social event of the
weekend will be a Saturday night
'50s dance featuring live
entertainment.

The Jewish Community Center
will hold an orientation meeting
for its Me and My Dad program at
7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the main Cen-
ter complex.
The program is geared for
fathers and their children in kin-
dergarten and first grade.
Father-child pairs meet regularly
in the homes of eight to ten par-
ticipating members. In addition to
regular meetings and activities,
two community-wide gatherings
are planned.
