School of technology slated
to open at Everyman's U.

by Yeshayahu Lavi, former
director-general of the
Ministry of Defense,
recommended establishing
the school of technology in
the framework of Every-
man's University, which
uses a multi-media home
study method of teaching
that enables students to
study without interfering
with their work schedule.
"We hope that by offering
a flexible system of studies
to the right people we can
continue to upgrade and
update our technological
development to keep pace
with world development
and offer our own innova-
tions," explains Prof. Ab-
raham Ginzburg, president
Everyman's University in Ramat Aviv, where a new school at Everyman's University.

established in Israel within
the framework of Every-
man's University, the Open
University of Israel, upon
the initiative of the
Rothschild Foundation and
following a recent decision
of the Israeli Government.
The School of Technology,
scheduled to begin teaching
in Autumn, 1985, is in-
tended to train practical
engineers and technicians

and further educate already
working technicians in the
most modern and sophisti-
cated technological de-
velopments.
The decision to establish
the School of Technology
was the result of the find-
ings of a top level committee
of experts appointed by the
Rothschild Foundation to
investigate Israel's needs in
the fiel of technological edu-
cation.
