24. She leaves two brothers,

penheim of Sepulveda,
Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Sarah
Hanels of Los 'Angeles;

IRENE FABER, 85, died vived by three daughters,
Aug. 28. She leaves two Mrs. Louis (Dorothy) Kap-
daughters, Mrs. Raymond lowitz, Leah Katz, Sandra
(Lillian) Clamage and Mrs. Podelschne; a sister, Mrs.
Daniel (Geraldine) Litwak Marie Magalski of Wilkes

Attorney Robert Wisok dies

Robert S. Wisok, an at-
torney with offices in South-
field, died Aug. 24 at age 79.
Born in Russia, Mr.
Wisok had beer'. a practicing
attorney since 1927. He was
still actively in practice at
the time of his death.
He pursued under-
graduate studies at Ohio
State University and was
graduated in 1927 from the
University of Detroit School
of Law.
Mr. Wisok was a member
of the Michigan, Detroit and-

Southfield Bar Associa-
tions. He was a contributor
to the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign. He also was a
member of Perfection Lodge
of the Masons, the Shriners,
Moslem Temple and El Hajj.
He leaves his wife,
_Gretchen; two daughters,
Mrs. Harold (Marcia) Al-
pert and Lori Jacobs; a
brother, Norton N.; a sister,
Mrs. Herbert (Esther)
Greenberg of Pembroke
Pines, Fla.; and seven
grandchildren.

Store founder Alice Lipsitt

Alice Lipsitt, who with
her husband Samuel, now
deceased, founded the
Roseville Department
Store, died Aug. 28 at age
93.
Born in England, Mrs.
Lipsitt lived 55 years in De-
troit. The couple founded

the store in 1928 and it is
still doing business.
She was a member of
Hadassah and the Zionist
Organization of America.
She leaves two sons, Dr.
Seymour and Harvey; six
grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.

Harold Schakne, who was man of Bloomfield Hills;

Paris (JTA) — The Tuni-
sian Chief Rabbi, Fradji
Uzane, died Aug. 24. He was
84.
There are reported to be
5,000 Jews in Tunisia.
There are large com-
munities of former Tunisian
Jews in Israel and France.
