announce the appointment
of Debbie Beres as the dele-
gate from the chapter to the
National Conference of
Synagogue Youth's
regional board. Debbie also
is the new chapter president
for YIT.
The other chapter board
members are: Susan Ar-
nold, chairman of the board;
Dina Najman and Hildee
Zwick, co-vice presidents of
programming; Steven Ar-
nold and Debbie Traurig,
co-vice presidents of educa-
tion; Amy Greenstein, re-
cording secretary; Sharon
Beres, Dena Jacobs, Lee
Stein and Michelle
Satowsky, public relations
committee; and Devorah
Singal, treasurer.
Young Israel of Oak-
Woods has recently given
YIT a room to use as a rec-
reation room and study hall.
The room will be open week
nights during the school
year for students who are
looking for a comfortable
place to study.

Genealogy unit
to meet in Sept.

The first fall meeting of
the Genealogical Branch of
the Jewish Historical
Society of Michigan will
take place, Sept. 18 at the
main United Hebrew
Schools building at 7:45
p.m.
The program will include;
election of officers, reports
about the National Jewish
Genealogical Seminar, and
a problem solving session.
The meeting is open to in-
terested guests.
