prominent tax attorney
Marcus Plotkin's concern
for the people of Israel,
Jewish National Fund's
nationwide headquarters in
New York has bestowed a
great honor upon him.
It is planting 1,000 trees
. . . to be known as the Lil-
lian Plotkin Memorial
Grove . . . in memory of
Mark's late wife.
Through his endeavors,
an untold amount of money
has been raised in behalf of
the JNF . . . He'll go to Is-
rael next July to dedicate
the grove for Lillian . . . and
also participate in the dedi-
cation of .a recreation park
outside of Jerusalem, estab-
lished by client Manny
Charach.
The Lillian Plotkin
Scholarship Fund estab-
lished by Mark in, con-
juncton with Southfield
Board of Education and
Southfield Teachers Asso-
ciation, April of this year, is
an astounding success .. .
beyond the widest dreams of
everyone . . . Already, 15
youngsters have been sent
to SCAMP, a summer camp
on Walnut Lake for dis-
abled, physically handi-
capped and emotionally dis-
turbed children 6 to 21
years of age . . . Another
child has been sent to the
Silverman Camp, an af-
filiate of Camp Tamarack,
for emotionally disturbed
youths.
Lillian passed on Sept. 1,
1983 . . . She and Mark had
been married 34 years .. .
and he has certainly made
sure her memory will not be
forgotten.
