Northland Center will
produce and stage this
year's annual Israel Bond
fashion show and luncheon,
to he held noon Sept. 11 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
The production, "An
American Tribute to Is-
rael's Fashions," will fea-
ture the best of Israel's
haute couture and ready-
to-wear plus a collection of
the best of American de-
signers' creations from
Northland's stores.
The showcase of Israeli
fashion is an annual offer-
ing of the Israel fashion in-
dustry made available ex-
clusively to the Israel Bond
Organization through its
national women's division.
The collection will travel to
over 60 major cities in the
United States and Canada;
the Sept. 11 show will be its
only stop in Michigan.
Fashion is a major reve-
nue producer for Israel. The
development of its fashion
industry came with the help
of Israel Bond investment
Rikma's folkloric tweeds by designer Tamara Yovel creates funds, channeled through
a dramatic interplay of shape, form and texture combining Israel's Development
Budget. Admission to the
herringbone with velvet, lace and fringe, all in a single
show will be by a minimum
garment.
