Holocaust Center Library gets boost with community aid , The library and archives of the Holocaust Memorial Center, West Bloomfield, have received donations marking a major step for- ward in the HMC's goal of becoming the major re- search facility on the Holocaust in this country. Philip Slomovitz, editor emeritus of The Jewish News, has given more than 600 volumes from hi§ pri- vate collection to the li- brary. According to Prof. Michael Kerestesi, Wayne State University, adviser to the library project, the vol- umes are the best English- language publications on Jewish history, the with the Holocaust and re- lated issues. The building of the Schaver Library and Arc- hives is key to the Center's growth as a major educa- tional facility. Research is under way to document the pre-war cultural, social and religious life of the 4,500 European Jewish com- munities destroyed in the Holocaust. When the project is completed, the HMC will be a major source for any serious study of European Jewish history. Other research projects in the planning stages include an international sym- posium on German-Jewish relations leading up to and following the Holocaust, and the creation of a De- partment of Hungarian Jewish Life and Culture to research the life and cul- tural achievements of pre- war Hungarian Jewry. 0 z 50% OFF + 10% 0 Lowest Prices In Town 0 On Cleaned & Pressed Paid In Advance Orders SLACKS $ 1.58 U when paid in advance SUTTON PLACE DRYCLEANER 23119 Lapeer at 9 Mile Coupon good 8-11-84 COUPON Every Imaginable Style of DESIGNER TABLE Buy Direct From The Factory At WHOLESALE PRICES!
