He was musical direc- tor of the Balfour Concerts and a featured saxophonist and mandolin player with the Detroit Symphony Or- chestra. Cantor Resnick is a na- tive of Detroit and honors graduate of Wayne State University, where he studied music. He studied voice with Max Levy and Avery Crew. He received his first operatic experience with the Detroit Friends of Opera and later appeared in three operatic productions. He had a major role in the award-winning television production of the opera Isaac Levi. For more than 25 years, he was baritone sol- oist at various synagogues and temples.
