Seeks commission seat

David William Potts has
announced his candidacy
for the Republican nomina-
tion to the Oakland County
Commissioner's 15th Dis-
trict seat.
Potts, an attorney, has
been an Oakland County
resident for more than 30
years and is currently a
resident of Bloomfield
Township.
The 15th Commission
District includes portions of
Bloomfield Township, Far-
mington Hills, West Bloom-
field and all of Franklin.
He is a. life-long Republi-
can and has been involved
in numerous political cam-
paigns, including District
and Circuit Court judicial
races, gubernatorial con-
tests on behalf of Goys.
William Milliken and
George Romney and a
Presidential campaign.
Potts is a member of
Christ Church Cranbrook,
The 300 Club, the Republi-
can Party, the Republican
Committee of Oakland
County and has been active
for many years on behalf of
the Detroit Institute of Arts,
where he served as
president of the Junior
Council of the Founder's
Society.
Potts is a member of the
American Bar Association,
Americtin Trial Lawyers
Association, the State Bar
of Michigan and the Oak-
land County Bar Associa-
tion. He has been chairman
of the Oakland County Bar

for State House

Marvin Surowitz has an-
nounced his candidacy for

for State Representative for

Surowitz, 42, is a resident
