land CoUnty offer a free
public service to those who
need help with general legal
problems. Tel-Law is a col-
lection of tape-recorded
messages written by
lawyers to inform people
about what they should
know regarding the law and
the justice system.
There are over 100 tapes
on file for legal information
that cover a broad range of
subjects including marriage
and divorce, criminal and
civil matters, adoptions,
landlord and tenant ques-
tions, consumer affairs,
bankruptcy, • estate ques-
tions and employment.

Brandeis unit
has book sale

Greater Detroit Chapter,
Brandeis University Na-
tional Women's Committee,
will have its 23rd annual
used book sale Aug. 22-29 at
the Tel-12 Mall. Admission
to the sale is free.
A preview, for which
there is a fee, will be held at
9:30 p.m. Aug. 22. Tickets
for the preview will be
available from Brandeis
volunteers at the mall that
day. • -
More than 100,000 books
in a variety of categories
will be sold throughout the
mall. Among the categories
of books to be sold are: cook-
ing, children's, religious,
technical, how-tp, fiction,
non-fiction and first edi-
tions. Paperbacks, hardcov-
ers, sheet music apd records
will all be available at the
sale. • • •
Leftover books will be do-
nated to. the Department of
Community and Human
Services of Pontiac.
Overseeing this year's
book sale will be: Shirley
Weiner, set-up and layout;
Eleanore Roberts, trea-
surer; Helen Lipton and
Barbara Mellon, personnel;
Josephine Mellon, mailing;
and Thelma Diamond and
President Ilene Crane,
breakdown.
Proceeds will go to the
Brandeis University lib-
raries. -
