August. The lectures, given
by Sinai's health care pro-
fessionals, will be held in

will be the topic discussed
on Aug. 7 by Thersa

Naimark is the outgoing
president of the Labor
Zionist Alliance Council of
Detroit and has had a life-
long involvement with
Labor Zionism, serving pre-
sently as a member of the
national executive commit-
tee. He is co-chairman of the
LZA - A. Phillip Randolph
Institute Coalition which he
was instrumental in form-
ing between Blacks and
Jews to deal with concerns
of mutual interest and is a
member of the Detroit
Roundtable of Christians
and Jews Interfaith Coor-
dinating Committee on the
Holocaust.
Naimark has served as
chairman of the Holocaust
and Urban Affairs Commit-
tees and as a member of the
Executive Committee of the
Jewish Community Coun-
cil.

SPACE lists August events
SPACE, a non-sectarian
community service of the
National Council of Jewish
Women. Greater Detroit
Section, will offer the fol-
lowing programs for men
and women who are sepa-
rated, divorced or widowed
and their children:A divorce
support group series and a
widowed support group
series will start on Aug. 6 at
8 p.m. The series will con-
tinue Aug. 13, 20 and 27.
Men and women are in-
vited.
A drop-in discussion
group for single parents of
severly handicapped or
terminally ill children will
be held Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. Par-
ticipants may register at
the door.
The widowed drop-in dis-
cussion group for men and
women will meet at 8 p.m.
on Aug. 8. Participants may
register at the door.
Regular drop-ins for
separated, divorced and
widowed men and women
will be held on Wednesdays,
Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.
Registration will be taken
at the door.
SPACE will offer two
different types of picnics in
August for separated, di-
vorced or widowed men and
women without or without
children. The first picnic
will be on Aug. 12 at 2 p.m.
at Addison Oaks Park.
Discount tickets to
Bob-Lo are available for
Aug. 19 (rain date is Aug.
26). This is open to all men
and women who are sepa-
rated, divorced or widowed
and their families. Paid
reservations - are due Aug.

SPACE office will be ar-
ranged.'

Paul D. Borman to head
Federal Bar Association unit
Paul D. Borman, chief
federal defender of the
Legal Aid and Defender
Association of Detroit, has
been elected president of the
Detroit Chapter of the Fed-
eral Bar Association.
A 1962 graduate of the
University of Michigan Law
School where he presently
teaches a seminar on white
collar crime; Borman also
received a Master of Laws
degree from the Yale Law
School. His prior federal
practice includes service as
an Assistant U.S. Attorney
in 1964-1965, and as a staff
attorney in the Administra-
tion of Justice Section of the
U.S. Commission on Civil
Rights in 1962-1963. '
Borman's professional ac-.
tivities include membership
on both the ABA Criminal
Justice Section Council and
the ABA standing commit-
tee ' on criminal justice
standards. He also is a
member of the "advisory- ,
committev9f: the :U.S. Court
