Cohen, who confessed to the conspiracy charge, will serve 18 months in jail. Two years of his sentence were suspended by Judge -Ezra Hadaya of the Jerusalem District Court. Meanwhile, the police have posted "wanted" notices for two suspected members of the terrorist underground still at large. They are Ira Rappaport, a Gush Emunim emissary to the United States, and Yossi Indor of the West Bank settlement of Ofra. Indor is believed hiding out in Israel. Rappaport is said to be in the United States but his associates in New York disclaim knowl- edge of his whereabouts. The Jerusalem Post re- ported last week that the Is- raeli police have asked the FBI for help in tracking him down. In an unrelated case, a Tel Aviv district court has released on bai Ephraim Siegal, a Jewish settler on the West Bank suspended of complicity in the murder of an 11 year-old Arab girl in .Nablus last year. 1 18161 W. 13 MILE RD. 2496 Walce • FREE ESTIMATES 1 L 1 9ORED 10. :1111.7 -J-1 11/ -J -J CUSTOM DESIGNED FURNITURE AT LOW PRICES 1111111111 NEM • • ■ 1111111 111•111111 • • • • • 111111111111111111 ❑ Shop out of your home at your convenience ❑ Contemporary furniture: tables, wall units, bedrooms, & desks in lucite, glass, laminates, marble & special orders CREATIVE TABLES, INC. Call Vicky Leebove 851-0789 Report Israeli edge in Mideast arms eroding New York — Israel's qualitative military edge in the Middle East is diminish- ing as the Arab states con- tinue to modernize their de- fense forces and increase their 'numerical arms ad- vantage, according to a just-released report from the American Jewish Coihmittee. The Jewish state's qual- itative lead is being "sys- tematically reduced" as the Arabs purchase arms from America, Europe and the Soviet Union, writes Tel Aviv University military analyst Yitzhak Yarom, in a study commissioned by the AJCommittee. In addi- tion, "Israel does not stand a chance of bridging- the quantitative gap" in mili- tary hardware, according to the study. The report, "A .David Turned to Goliath?," also emphasizes that despite Is- rael's involvement in the 1982 Lebanon war, the bal- ance of power in the Middle Mist still favors the Arabs. •
