SINGLES

SHERER
ROSE
SOCIALITES, will celeb-
rate their 29th anniversary
installation dinner-dance
on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the
Furniture Club, 24701
Swanson, Southfield.
Cocktails will be served at
6, followed by dinner and
dancing to the music of
Johnny C and his orchestra.

Officers to be installed
are: President, Dorothy
Goldberg; Vice Presidents,
Peter Steffin and William
Sorokin; Treasurer, Myna
Stein; Secretaries, Augusta
Trager and William Golds-
tein.
Board members are: Mar-
tin Ducker, Shirley Kaner,
Rose Schwartz, Sarah
Kushner and Mollie Stern.
Past President Dave
Glicklin will be installing
officer, assisted by Gerry
Feldman as mistress of
ceremonies. The invocation
will be recited by Belle
Sorokin, and blessing of the
bread will be made by Max
Trager.
There is a charge. For
reservations, call seating
chairman Betty Brown,
546-6779; or Ms. Goldberg,
548-6850. Single men and
women age 55 and up are
invited.

B'NAI B'RITH SING-
LES, (ages 18-30) will have
dinner at Buddy's Pizza in
Farmington Hills on Mon-
day at 7:30 p.m. There is a
charge, and everyone is
welcome. Members who
bring in one new member
will get their dinner free.
The speaker for the evening
will be Mickey Lolich who
will speak at 9 p.m. For in-
formation, call the Council
office, 552-8177.

COMMUNITY NET-
WORK FOR JEWISH
SINGLES will hear Peter,
Paul and Mary at Meadow
Brook on Saturday. The
group will meet at Meadow
Brook at 7 p.m., and com-
plimentary wine will be
served. For reservations,
call the CNJS, 661-1000,
ext. 219.
The next Meadow Brook
trip is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Aug. 12. The Detroit Sym-
phony Orchestra will per-
form.

The CNJS will join the
Jewish Singles/Parents
Network of Ann Arbor at
the Ann Arbor Art Fair on
July 28. Carpools will be ar-
ranged. At 8 p.m. that eve-
ning, there will be a party
and dance at the Earhart
Condominiums in Ann Ar-
bor. There is an admission
charge. For details, call the
CNJS.

The weekly CNJS softball
game will be held at 10:30
a.m. Sunday at Brace-
Lederle Field in Southfield.
Admission is free.
