aron seeks re-election
Dennis M. Aaron an-
ounces that he will seek
e-election to the Oakland
ounty Board of Commis-
oners as a Democrat in
istrict 19 (Oak Park and
yal Oak Township).
Aaron, 53, has served for
4 years on the board, hav-
ng been first elected in
968. He is presently Demo-
ratic chairman of the gen-
ral government committee
nd is a member of the
ealth and human re-
ources committee.
He has served as chair-
man of the board's public
protection and judiciary
committee, the personnel
committee and as chairman
of the Law Enforcement and
Criminal Justice Coor-
dinating Council. He pre-
sently is the county's repre-
sentative on state and na-
tional law enforcement
committees.
Active in local and civic
affairs, Aaron is currently
chairman of Citizens for
Oak Park Schools. He
serves on the civil liberties
subcommittee of the Jewish
Community Council and is
an officer of his local PTA.
He is a member of the Inter-
