farms of others, as well as in the Pr-
ince Albert Lumber Mill and in a
mine. Later, he bought another farm
which he had for 25 years.
When their children grew up and
as the sons served in the U.S. mili-
tary and the Canadian military, and
the daughters married and moved
away, the Frazises left the farm.
From sales of their produce, they
were able to follow daughter Bess to
Detroit.
Still able and enthusiastic for
work, Frazis returned to ironwork-
ing, but as World War II ended so did
the demand for his services and he
eventually retired.

Wife Yetta died. in • 1965, and
Frazis married Sadie Meyers in 1966.
According to son Ted, Frazis is
not a particularly religious man, but
when he came to Detroit he affiliated
himself with Jewish organizations:
the Emma Lazarus Reading Groups,
Jewish Community Center, and the
Jewish Folk Chorus. In New York, he
belonged to the Workmen's Circle.
Does he have one proud moment.
"It's impossible to say," he says; but
son Ted is quick to add that owning
land was his pride and joy.
And what does he plan to do for
his 101st? "It's up to the pnblic, not to
me."
