The sixth annual Joan
Kalef Memorial Leadership
Award has been presented
to Emily Burns of Ahavah
BBG and Andrea Jaron of
Brice BBG. The award rec-
ognizes leadership
achievement within BBYO
and pays for registration to
the BBYO International
Convention, which will be
held Aug. 16-22 at the B'nai
B'rith Perlman Camp in
Starlight, Pa.
Emily has been a member
of BBG for four years and
has served, as president of
Ahavah BBG. She has re-
cently been elected trea-
surer of the Great. Lakes
BBG Council. ,
Andrea has been a
member of BBG for four
years and has served as
president of Ohr
Hashemesh BBG as well as

Southfield. The chapter is
composed largely of ninth

fessor of law at the New
York Law School.
Kleiman is the recipient
of the bar association's
highest award for "service
to the law and community."
