residence the Gilbert
Michel and Alvin Rodecker
Residence in recent cere-
monies at the residence.
The ceremonies, attended
by the widows of Mr. Michel
and Mr. Rodecker, Bernice
Michel and Catherine
Rodecker, also served as the
occasion for the Aaron, and
Helen DeRoy Foundation to
give a major endowment in
memory of their husbands
to the NCJW to be used as
seed money for future Or-

Jane Dewey, director of First Step, a non-profit organization
that provides assistance to families experiencing spouse
abuse. First Step provides counseling, support groups, legal
assistance and when necessary temporary shelter.
