New memorial
fund for JARC
The Jewish Association
for Retarded Citizens has
announced the establish-
ment of the Thelma Pollock
Keller Memorial Fund.
The fund was set up by
the Keller and Pollock
families in memory of
Thelma Keller, who died of
cancer in January. Mrs.
Keller was the mother of
JARC Executive Director
Joyce Keller.
As head librarian of
Southfield High School for
20 years, Mrs. Keller was
instrumental in designing
and implementing the li-
brary media center. She was
involved in both Hadassah
and Sheruth League, and
was a longtime supporter of
JARC.
The contributions to the
Thelma Pollock Keller
Memorial Fund will be used
to meet the needs of the
agency, with preference
being given to equipment
and audio-visual uses.

The Southfield Public Li-
brary will sponsor a free
workshop on "Choosing
Quality Child Care" 7:30
p.m. Wednesday in the li-
brary's Marcotte Room.
The library will also
sponsor a drop-in story hour
7 p.m. Tuesdays through
July 24 and 10:30 a.m.
Thursdays through July 26.
This free program is de-
signed for pre-schoolers age
3-5.
