Hilary Dzodin, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Dzo-
din, will share her bat
mitzvah with Marina Be-
renstein, daughter of
Roman and Ludmilla Be-
renstein of Moscow, RSFSR,
USSR, on Saturday at Cong.
Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses.
Berenstein's father died
in World War II on Roman's
third birthday. In May,
1975, his mother emigrated
to Israel.
Berenstein was refused
an exit visa for the first time
on Oct. 13, 1975, on the
grounds that he had served
in the army from 1969 to
1971, and he would have to
wait until five years had
passed since his demobiliza-
tion before he could expect
such a visa.
Over eight years have
now passed, and the family
still cannot get a visa to join
Berenstein's mother in Is-
rael.
