Bloomfield, life-time
member of Cong. Beth Ab-
raham Hillel Moses in West
Bloomfield, will be honored
at a tribute dinner spon
sored by his synagogue on
behalf of State of Israel
Bonds and scheduled for
6:30 p.m. June 28 at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek.
At the dinner, Fishman
will be presented with the
State of Israel's Tower of
David Award, "in recogni-
tion of notable participation
in the economic strengthen-
ing of Israel as a tower of
renewal and strength for
the Jewish people."
The award plaque, which
consists of a three-
dimensional replica of the
Tower of David in
Jerusalem, has been issued
this year in commemoration
of the 18th (Chai) anniver-
sary of the reunification of
Jerusalem after the Six-
Day War.
The honoree attended the
Western Military Academy
and then the University of
Michigan, where he ma-
jored in accounting.
Fishman grew up in the
milieu of the synagogue.
His parents, Jacob and
Mina were also life-time
members. He has served as
chairman of every
synagogue committee, and
he has served in every
office, including the
presidency in 1981.
Tribute dinner chairman
is Dr. Harris Mainster.
Congregation president is
Benjamin Kinzer.
A reception in advance of
the dinner will be hosted by
Dr. and Mrs. Laurence
Ribiat in their Bloomfield
Hills home 8 p.m. Monday.
