B'nai David- Israel Bond Tribute Dinner at 6:30 p.m. June 19 in the synagogue social hall. The dinner will honor B'nai David "woman of the year" Betty Silverfarb, recipient-elect of the State of Israel's Lion of Judah Award. Evans is a former foreign corresponent and CBS bureau chief in Moscow, covering the Soviet Union across Siberia to the China boider. He has worked on both sides of the Iron Cur- tain in Eastern and West- ern Europe. He has also been behind the Bamboo Curtain in Communist China. In the Middle East, he has interviewed Arab leaders and has made eight trips to Israel, meeting Cabinet ministers and every Israeli prime minister for the last two decades.
