awarded a three-year grant
from the Jewish Commu-
nity Foundation funded by
United Jewish Charities, to
operate the program full-
time. Since 1982, JARC has
maintained this unique
program through its private
fund-raising efforts.
JARC's Apartment Pro-
gram differs from other pro-
grams in the state in that
clients are trained for inde-
pendence while they are
still living with their
families and then super-
vised after they move. Cur-
rently, 22 clients are par-
ticipating in the program.
