Adult b'not mitzvah at SZ

Thirty-two women have
completed an intensive
year-long course of study in
preparation for the first
adult b'not mitzvah cere-
mony in the history of Cong.
Shaarey Zedek. It will take
place on the first day of
Shavuot, at 8:45 a.m. Wed-
nesday.
Members of the class will
be called to the Torah for
aliyot, and then each will
chant either several verses
of the Haftorah or the Book
of Ruth, which is tradi-
tionally
chanted
on
Shavuot.
