A 1969 graduate of Michigan State, Shapiro was selected for the award based on his achievements in the financial community. The Finance Leadership Award is presented an- nually by the MSU Finance Club in conjunction with MSU's Graduate School of Business Administration. Kolodney fund established at Beth Hayeled school The Kolodneys A new fund at Cong. Shaarey Zedek has been es- tablished in honor of Edith 2 and Isadore Kolodney by their children, Mrs. Don 7 (Thelma) Kaplan and Mrs. Lawrence (Reva) Stocker. The fund will provide tui- tion scholarships for five students in Shaarey Zedek's 2 - 2 Beth Hayeled school, and provide enrichment pro- grams for the nursery school Isadore Kolodney, a member of Shaarey Zedek for more than 40 years, has served the Allied Jewish Campaign and is president of Progress Electric Supply Co., a firm he started 43 years ago. Edith Kolodney has held leadership positions with the Jewish National Fund. The Kolodneys planted a forest in Israel several years ago. They have been iden- tified with Jewish causes and support for Israel over many decades.
