The Genealogical Branch
‘of the Jewish Historical
Society of Michigan will
meet at 7:45 p.m. May 29 at
the main United Hebrew
Schools building.
Dr. Sidney Bolkosky will
discuss "How to Interview
,Holocaust Survivors and
Senior Citizens." Dr.
Bolkosky is a professor of
history at the University of
Michigan-Dearborn and
teaches at the Midrasha-
College of Jewish Studies.
He also is the author of The
Distorted Image and many
articles on history, litera-
ture and psychoanalysis.
He developed the pro-
gram of interviewing local
Holocaust survivors for Yad
VP - and the local
tic _lust Memorial Cen-
ter.
Betty Provizer Starkman,
chairman of the branch, an-
nounces that reservations
are being taken for the
fourth national seminar on
Jewish genealogy, "Routes
to Roots," scheduled for July
22-25 in Evanston, Ill. Mrs.
Starkman will be among
the workshop leaders.
