"A Taste of Israel — A
Taste of Hebrew" will con-
tinue at 7:30 p.m. Monday
at the main United Hebrew
Schools building. Ahuva
Newman will conduct a
program on conversational
Hebrew. Sol Lachman will
speak on "Politics and the
People." There is a charge,
and the public is invited.
The next program in the
series will take place at 7:30
p.m. June 4 at the UHS
building. Shelly Jackier
will present a program on
Israeli folk dance. Instruc-
tion will be given on conver-
sational Hebrew for travel-
ing.
On June 11 at 7:30 p.m.,
Jm Wexelberg-Clouser of
the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion will speak on - Travel in
Israel — What to See, How
to Get There." The program
will be held at the UHS
building. There is an admis-
sion fee.

Tel Aviv (JTA) — The Is-
rael Army Radio station
raised 220 million Shekels
($1.2 million) for the
Soldiers Welfare Commit-
tee in a day-long Indepen-
dence Day.
