A 1927 graduate of the

School, where he was
member of the Michigan
Law Review editorial staff
and was elected to the Order
of the Coif, national honor-
ary scholastic legal society,
Safir was one of the found-
ers of the Detroit Graduate

and its first chancellor. He
has been actively engaged

Huntington Woods, assis-
tant professor in the Wayne
State University College of
Education, has received an
educational psychology fel-
lowship from the University
College at Swansea, Wales.
Dr. Leon Lucas of Oak
Park, professor of social
work at WSU, was honored
for his 50 years in social
work practice and education
at the second annual meet-
ing of the Michigan Society
for Clinical Social Work.
