Akiva Day. School, nursery
to conduct open houses

Akiva Hebrew Day
School will hold a first grade
open house on Tuesday at
7:30 p.m. at the school.
Akiva, now in its 20th
year, offers students a
''daic and general studies
,rriculum.
The Judaic curriculum
includes Chumash, Hebrew
reading, Jewish history,
laws and customs, Parsha,
mitzvot, holidays, Hebrew
songs and prayers. The gen-
eral studies curriculum in-
cludes reading, math, spel-
ling, creative writing, sci-
ence, social studies, music
and physical education.
Hands-on experience in
computers, individualized
learning centers, field trips,
educational games, arts and
crafts, and library all are of-
fered by Akiva.
The Akiva nursery open
house will be held on Wed-
nesday at 7:30 p.m. in the
school building.
Akiva's nursery program
offers children 2 1/2 to 5 years
old a variety of learning ex-
periences.

vidualized learning centers,
social interaction, imagina-
tive play, students learn
