Per- sons who fought in Israel's wars will light a torch in memory of the fallen. Chil- dren of parents who fought in Israel's wars will light a torch for peace. The program will also in- clude a flag-lowering cere- mony, the recitation of Yiz- kor by Rabbi Milton Arm of Beth Achim and the Kad- dish and El Moleh Rachamim, led by Cantor Max Shimansky of Beth Achim. Cantor Shimansky also will lead in the singing of the anthems. Poetry will be read in He- brew by Tzipora Frank, Pnina Basse and Sol Lachman. English transla- tions will be provided by Lachman. The community is in- vited. The program is spon- sored by the Israeli commu- nity of Metropolitan De- troit, Beth Achim and the Detroit Zionist Federation. Add Parmesan cheese and mix well. Sauté onion, garlic and peppers in butter until lightly browned; combine with broccoli. Place Ravioli in saucepan over low heat; stir occasionally until thoroughly heated. Add half of the broccoli mixture to Ravioli; save half for garnish. Museum extends Jewish exhibit until Sunday The "Jewish Life in Michigan” exhibit will be held over through Sunday at the Detroit Historical Museum. The exhibit spotlights Jewish contributions in Michigan from the first Jewish settlers who arrived in the Upper Peninsula in 1760 up to the present day. The museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admis- sion is free. The Anti-Defamation League will conduct tours at 10 a.m. Saturday and at noon Sunday.
