Jesse Jackson as its suppor- ter. Dr. Riyad Mansour, De- puty Observer for the PLO at the United Nations, referred to the Democratic Presidential hopeful as "that great can- didate," stating that "that candidate supports the PLO." Mansour was speaking at a "teach-in" on Palestinian rights last week hosted by the Harvard Law School Third World Coalition and the Black Law Students Association. The discussion centered on the premise that there is growing sup- port for the PLO in the United States. Israelis attend security talks for LA Games Los Angeles (JTA) — Shmuel Lalkin, chairman of the Israel Sports Federa- tions, and Uri Afek, assis- tant to the president of the Israel Olympic Committee, arrived here last week for a series of meetings with In- ternational Olympic offi- cials in order to check on se- curity measures and finalize arrangements for the participation of the athletes who will represent Israel at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. Lalkin will be the chief of mission for the Israeli team, which is expected to number at least 25 athletes. Israel is continuing to hold trials for the team through the end of this month.
