Slowly. If
you're not cur-
rently exercising
on a regular basis,
you can't expect to start
out by running five miles every
morning. Begin with something
you can ,do — walking a half-mile,
or even a quarter-mile. After several
days, when that becomes easier, in-
crease the amount of exercise.

Build more exercise into your daily life:

Remove some of your home extension telephones; use the
stairs instead of the elevator; park at"the far end of the lot
at shopping centers; walk, don't drive, to the corner store.

Check withyour physician before beginning any exercise
program.

Sinai Hospital's Health and Fitness Program offers a
complete evaluation and exercise orientation for persons
