Jewish Family Service unit
for adult children of aged

Marvin Daitch, president
of Jewish Family Service,
announced that the JFS is
inaugurating a group dis-
cussion series for adult chil-
dren or other relatives of
senior citizens who are ex-
periencing problems as
their loved ones grow older.

Samuel Lerner, executive
director of JFS, indicated
that the agency will form a
group consisting of about 15
people working with two
professional social workers
experienced in dealing with
family problems of the aged.

According to Lerner, the
group will address itself to
many of the stresses and
feelings experienced by the
relatives . 9,f aging people,

including dealing with the
strains of helping' their
loved ones maintain an in-
dependent life style or find-
ing and working through al-
ternative arrangements
when independence is no
longer possible.

The group will meet for
six weeks at the JFS offices,
24123 Greenfield, South-
field, on Wednesday eve-
nings at 7 p.m., beginning
May 23.

between 1 and 2:30 p.m.) or
Helen Resnick (Wednes-
days between 1:30 and 4
