Hattie Schwartz Zogby to advise Jackson, aides on Arab issues New York (JTA) —James Zogby, director of the American Arab Anti- Discrimination Committe, has been chosen by the Jesse Jackson for President Committee as its adviser on Arab American affairs, ac- cording to this month's issue of Boycott Report. The report, which is issued by the American Jewish Con- gress, pointed out that there is no comparable adviser on Jackson's staff for Ameri- can Jewish affairs. Meanwhile, in Washing- ton, Democratic President- ial hopeful Walter Mondale has indicated that he ex- pects support for his candi- dacy from the American Jewish community, even if, as one interviewer suggested, he "holds hands up with Jesse Jackson" at the end of the Democratic convention in San Fran- cisco. Mondale also denounced recent statements by Louis Farrakhan, head of the Na- tion of Islam, as "poison" which "go beyond the boun- dary of political rhetoric." Farrakhan, a strong sup- porter of Jackson's Presidential aspirations, last month acclaimed Hitler as a "very great man" and has also called for blacks to ostracize Milton Coleman, the Washington Post re- porter who disclosed Jackson's remarks refer- ring to Jews as "Hymies" and New York as "Hymietown." Museum gets Holocaust diary Tel Aviv (JTA) — The diary of a 17-year-old girl, describing her life hidden in a cellar in Warsaw during the first 113 days of the Nazi occupation of the Polish cap- ital, has been donated to the Holocaust Memorial Museum at Kibbutz Lo hamei HaGetaot in west- ern Galilee, by the diarist. Described as the "Polish Anne Frank record," the 54-page account of her life in the cellar with.60 other Jews was recently found by the young writer, Lily Gol- denberg, during spring cleaning. Ms. Goldenberg believes she was the last Polish Jewish citizen allowed by the Nazis to leave Poland for Palestine, on the strength of a Palestine entry certificate already granted to her before the outbreak of the war. In the diary, she mov- ingly describes the High Holiday prayers led by Can- tor Moshe Koussevitzky, the groWing iegradation of the Jews in Warsaw and the start of construction of the wall around the ghetto.
