Mr. and Mrs. Morris Fen-
kell have dedicated a dor-
mitory room at Bar-Ilan
University, announced
Phillip Stollman, chairman
of Bar-Ilan's global board of
trustees. The room will bear
the 'name of the Fenkells'
grandchildren, Jane
Elizabeth Fenkell and
Aaron Fenkell Belen.

The university has the
, lowest proportion of dormit-
ory space in relation to stu-

dent size of any college in
Israel. This has caused
Bar-Ilan to be put in the
situation of having to deny
dormitory space to qualified
students living outside the
greater Tel Aviv area.

Such students must se-
cure expensive off-campus
housing, go elsewhere for
their academic studies or
not attend any university at
all.

For information on Bar-
Ilan's dormitory sponsor-
ship program, call the uni-
versity's local office, 398-
7180.

Haverim Home residents
guests at area Seder

Residents from two of the
Haverim Homes operated
by the Jewish Association
for Retarded Citizens
(JARC) were guests of
Cong. Beth Shalom for the
second Pesach Seder Tues-
day night.

It was, according to Rena
Friedberg of the JARC, the
first time such an invitation
had been extended to the
residents.

A group of four people
from the Solomon H. Grus-
kin Haverim Home on De-

vonshire in Southfield and
two residents of the Louis
Blumberg Home on Elm
Park in Pleasant Ridge ac-
cepted the Seder invitation
from Rabbi David A. Nel-
son. Two JARC staff mem-
bers accompanied the resi-
dents to the Seder.
Haverim Home residents
who did not go to family
Seders Monday night had
the opportunity to attend
the JARC Seder at the Sam
and Jean Frankel Haverim
Home on Kingshire in
Southfield.
