Reducing bias
session topic
"Reducing Students'
Prejudiced Beliefs and Be-
havior" was the topic of an
intensive training session
conducted recently by
Nancy L. Frumkin of the
Anti-Defamation League as
part of the Great Lakes
Regional Conference of the
National Council for Social
Studies.
Ms. Frumkin, the com-
munity consultant of the
Michigan ADL office, ap-
peared as part of a larger
representation of ADL at
the conference. ADL's
Schools Committee, chaired
by Stephanie Zack and Bar-
bara Weinstein, staffed a
special ADL exhibit on
human relations.
The Jewish Community
Council of Metropolitan De-
troit provided informa-
tional literature, cur-
riculum tools and other
educational materials to the
hundreds of educators in
attendance.
