Art exhibit

The Jewish Community
Center will have an exhibi-
tion of works by contempor-
ary Israeli artists and arti-
sans April 1-8 at the main
building.
Artists whose works will
be on display include: Mario
Doretti, Aharon Giladi,
Nachum Gutman, Lit-
vinovsty, Avigail Yoresh
and Yuval Mahler. Yoel
Sharabi and his band will
appear at 8:30 p.m. Satur-
day at the main Center
complex.
At the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch of the Cen-
ter, the senior adult de-
partment will present
"Music Around. the World"
at 2 p.m. April 1. There is an
admission fee. Refresh-
ments will be served.
The senior adult depart-
ment will present the next
program in its "Ask Your
Agency" series at 1 p.m.
March 30 in room 13 at the
Morris Branch.

Baum of the Oak Park
Community Center will de-
scribe the services provided
by their agency. For infor-

Israeli salad

BY NORMA BARACH

20 ozs. frozen carrots and
peas
1 large potato, cooked, peeled
and diced
1 cup sliced celery
3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1 /2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup chopped salted peanuts
tomato slices
1 small green pepper, diced
1 small red pepper, diced
Cook peas and carrots ac-
cording to package directions.
Drain, combine with potato,
celery, eggs, peppers and
mayonnaise. Chill. Before
serving, add chopped peanuts
and garnish with tomato
slices.

Chai Campers
Plan outing

Chai Campers will kick
off their 1984 season on the
weekend of May 4-6, an-
nounce Presidents Mr. and
Mrs. Joel (Joan) Bussell.
Seven family campouts,
planned for May through
October, are scheduled at a
site near Holly, Mich.
Activities include ongei
Shabat, potluck dinners,
volleyball, hikes, canoeing,
fishing, boating and singing
around the campfire.

Bailey of Ann Arbor an-
nounce the engagement of
their daughter, Susan
Elizabeth Sharpe, to
Bruce Neil Goldman, son
of Sheldon Goldman of West
Bloomfield and Dr. Ruth E.
Goldman of Huntington
Woods. Miss Sharpe and her
fiance earned EA degrees in
English at the University of
Michigan. An August wed-
ding is planned.
