Dennis Prager, author of
The Nine Questions People
Ask About Judaism, will be
the keynote speaker for the
Jewish Welfare Federation
Women's Division Spring
Forum on April 10.
The forum, entitled "Be
Joyous . . . Be Creative .. .
Be Jewish," is set for 9:15
a.m. at the main Jewish
Community Center. There
is a charge for registration
and luncheon. Child care
service will be available.
Prager's second book is
entitled Why the Jews? The
Reason for Anti-Semitism.
His formal education in-
cludes undergraduate work
in history at Brooklyn Col-
lege and the University of
Leeds, England, and
graduate work as a fellow of
the School of International
Affairs and- Russian and
Middle East Institutes of
Columbia University.
Prager has traveled to 65
countries on six continents,
developing his ideas on
morality, religion and poli-
tics. Additionally, he has
lectured in 40 states and at
numerous major American
universities.
He first came to public at-
tention in 1969, when at age
21, he and a handful of
others alerted the West to
the plight of Soviet Jews.
Prager became national
spokesman for the Student
Struggle for Soviet Jewry
and was a delegate to the
first Brussels World Con-
ference on Soviet Jewry.
