The American Jewish
Congress will hold a meet-
ing on "The Issue of Human
Rights Under Israeli Law in
the Administered Ter-
ritories" at 8 p.m. Monday
in room 9-10 of the main
United Hebrew Schools
building.
The featured speaker will
be Moshe Bar, the Israel
consul for information to
the Midwest.
Born in Natanya, Bar
completed his high school
education in Kiryat Tivon
and served three years in
the Artillery Corps of the Is-
rael Defense Forces.
Bar earned a BA degree
in English literature and
modern history and a teach-
ing certificate at Hebrew
University.
In 1977, Bar began his
career in the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, holding
various posts, including,
personal assistant to the
deputy director general. In
1981, Bar was assigned as
first secretary at the Lon-
don Embassy. He served in
this post until August 1983
and subsequently became
the consul for information
to the Midwest.
The public is invited free
of charge.
