I Business Briefs

The Jewish War Veterans
and other veterans' groups
in Southfield will be able to
continue street sales of
paper poppies to finance
their charitable activities.
During a study session of
the Southfield City Council
last Thursday night, the
police dropped their formal
opposition to the sales on
Southfield streets.
However, the city council
did not formally give per-
mission for such sales, and
will allow police to ticket
veterans if they impede
traffic.
