broccoli spears
1 /4 pound melted butter
1 pound cottage cheese (16
oz'.)
5 tbsps. flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup grated cheddar or swiss
cheese
1 /2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
Steam the broccoli in salted
water until barely tender. Place
in bottom of a 9x9-inch pan. Do
not overcook the broccoli.
In medium size bowl, mix to-
gether, melted butter, cottage
cheese, flour, eggs and grated
cheese. Pour over broccoli.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or
until edges turn brown. Makes
6-8 servings.

The Jewish Federation
Council here has urged the
Los Angeles Jewish com-
munity to play a major role
in enhancing the Jewish
consciousness and identity
of Israelis who have settled
in the area.
The appeal for more con-
tact with resident Israelis
was contained in a policy
statement issued by the
council, its first on the sub-
ject.

The first chapter of Hadas-
sah outside of the United
States, Hadassah-Israel,
has reached a membership
of more than 1,000 members
since it was chartered Oct.
3, according to a report by
Frieda Lewis, Hadassah
president.
