Sunday Night
A silent auction will kick
off the Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah PTA's goods and
services auction to be held
Sunday at the yeshiva
building. The silent auction
will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the auction
will help the learning dis-
abled classroom.

Conservative Men's Clubs
Plan 55th Annual Parley
Plans have been finalized
for the 55th annual spring
convention of the Great
Lakes Region of the Federa-
tion of Jewish Men's Clubs.
The convention will be
held March 30-April 1 and
will be hosted by the men's
clubs of five of Detroit's
Conservative congrega-
tions: Adat Shalom, Beth
Achim, Beth Shalom, Bnai
Moshe and Shaarey Zedek.
Theme of the convention
is "Renewing Our Jewish
Commitment."
Based at the Sheraton
Southfield Hotel, the
convention will begin at
noon March 30 with
registration and hospital-
ity. That evening there
will be a Shabat dinner at
Cong. Beth Achim featur-
ing Emanuel Zippori, Is-
rael consul general for
the Midwest, as guest
speaker.
Shabat services, a lunch-
eon, workshops and a
dinner-dance following
Havdala services at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek will be the
schedule for March 31.
On April 1, there will be a
morning service, breakfast
and business meeting co-
hosted by Cong. Bnai Moshe
and Cong. Beth Shalom. A
women's program will be
followed by an installation
luncheon.

The Cong. Bnai Moshe
Business and Professional
Group will hear a talk by
Dr. Leonard S. Demak,
superintendent of the Oak
Park School District, at 7
p.m. Sunday in the
synagogue boardroom.
Dr. Demak will speak on
"Crisis in Education?" Past
president of Bnai Moshe,
Dr. Demak has been a high
school teacher and school
principal.
He has been a consultant
in education to local school
districts for many years. He
also has been appointed
program director for several
federal projects.
Light refreshments will
be-served. There is a nomi-
nal charge.
