Yiddish Music
on Cable TV

A third segment on the
three-part weekly series of
Yiddish music programs
will be aired 8 p.m. Thurs-
day on Cable Channel 18.
The "Potpourri" program
produced by Allen Miral
will have folksinger Larry
Bassin discussing and sing-
ing Yiddish theater music.
Songs will include "Abi Gez-
int," a medley of Aaron
Lebedef songs, "Bei Mir Bist
du Schoen," "Yossel! Yos-
sel!" and "Di Grine Kuzine."
The programs are hosted
by Laura Miral, and the
series will be repeated in
sequence each Thursday
evenings through March 29.

The Helen and Paul Zuc-
kerman Nursery of Temple
Beth El is taking applica-
tions for the spring parent-
toddler program. Classes
will start the week of March
5. Toddlers over age 21/2 are
eligible for a new class, "All
By Myself."
Weavers, an artist, a can-
dymaker, a librarian, a pro-
duce man and a shopping
center developer will pro-
vide a variety of experiences
for the nursery children this
month.
Director Joy Kaplan will
make a presentation at the
Michigan Association for
the Education of the Young
Child Conference to be held
in Lansing on March 2 and
3. Her workshop will be "All
in a Box," the use of props
for dramatic play.
