Recent agreements with workers will save El Al $20 million yearly. The air line expects to have a deficit of $50-$60 million for fiscal 1983-1984 and is forecast- ing more staff reductions this year. Last year, El Al had 4,700 employees. That total is expected to shrink to 3,900 this year. JERUSALEM (ZINS) — Israel Minister of Corn- munications Chaim Karpov told a recent press confer- ence that El Al's financial condition is better now than several months ago.
