Technion Research Is Topic of Detroit Affiliate's Meeting

"Technion Research" will
be discussed by Dr. Ehud

Lenz at a public meeting of
the American Technion

engineering as well as
head of the material
processing laboratory.
His research experiences
include: head of a
machine tool laboratory
in Zurich, Switzerland,
and senior scientist, Ford
Motor Co.
The public is invited.

Mr. and Mrs. Philipp
(Livia) Fischer of Oak Park
were honored recently at a
family dinner party given
by their children at Cong.
Beth Shalom on the occa-
sion of their 50th wedding
anniversary.
Their children are Dr.
and Mrs. Fred (Joan)
Fischer. The senior Fischers
have two granddaughters.
The Fischers were mar-
ried on Dec. 26, 1933, in
Hungary. Survivors of the
Holocaust, the Fischers
lived seven years in Israel
before emigrating to the
U.S. in 1959.
They are members of
Cong. Mishkan Israel
Nusach H'Ari, the United
Jewish Social Club,
Frinds of Shaare Zedek
Hospital in Jerusalem,
Alpha Nu Parents Club
and the Israel Cancer
Association. Mrs. Fischer
is a lifetime member of
Women of Jewish Na-
tional Fund.
Prior to his retirement
five years ago, Mr. Fischer
was employed for 20 years
at the Jewish Home for
Aged as workshop manager.
