The Wolf Prize, said to be the largest international prize in the field of agricul- ture (in other fields Wolf Prizes are frequently fol- lowed by Nobel Prizes to the Wolf recipients), is being awarded to the two scien- tists for separate work which resulted in "innova- tive contributions to the quantitative understanding of soil-water and other environmental interactions influencing crop growth and yield."
